Golden Summary 2025: Our Annual Impact Report

2025 has been a defining year. We welcomed a landmark new partnership with Another Country, who acquired a majority stake in Goldfinger, bringing together two B Corp-certified businesses with a shared commitment to sustainable design and social impact.

Together, we now form one of the UK's leading sustainability-led design studios, offering expanded making capabilities, customisable furniture collections, bespoke commissions, and responsibly managed production across workshops in the UK and Portugal.

This year also marks the first joint edition of our annual Golden Summary impact report, now covering Goldfinger, Another Country, and the Make Good Academy.

Our 2025 impact in numbers

  • 22 young people took part in Future Makers traineeships
  • 616 hours of free employability skills and design training given to our community
  • 100% of 2025 Future Makers trainees went on to further education, training or employment
  • 310kg of Treecycled timber used from locally felled trees
  • 72kg of CO2e saved through Treecycled timber use

Make Good Academy

Formerly known as the Goldfinger Academy, the Make Good Academy now operates as the social impact arm of both Goldfinger and Another Country. The flagship Future Makers programme equips young people aged 16 to 25 with woodworking and employability skills, at a time when youth unemployment reached a 10-year high of 16.1% at the end of 2025.

From 2026, the Academy expands into nature recovery and material stewardship programmes, creating new pathways into careers focused on tackling the climate crisis.
